Azzad Mahdzir is a trainer, consultant, and curriculum designer specialising in socio-emotional and ethical leadership development. As Founder of Rumah Empati, he designs and facilitates structured learning programmes that strengthen emotional regulation, communication clarity, and integrity-based leadership across workplace and community settings.
His flagship programme, Empathy at Work: Leading with Clarity, Connection and Courage, equips professionals with practical tools to move from reactive patterns to conscious response in high-pressure environments. His methodology integrates somatic awareness, cognitive inquiry, and needs-based communication frameworks to build measurable shifts in behavioural pause, conflict engagement, and decision-making maturity.
Since 2020, Azzad has served youth leaders, educators, artists, and civil society organisations across Malaysia and Southeast Asia with psychoeducational programming and applied socio-emotional training.
Drawing from evidence-informed communication models and contemplative practice traditions, Azzad bridges inner development with practical leadership competencies. His work spans corporate workshops, educator training, community programmes, and regional collaborations across Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Bali.
He currently leads Empathy Retreats and professional development programmes throughout Southeast Asia, advancing a vision of socio-emotional education that is rigorous, accessible, and transformative.
