We are thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration between Empathy for Youth Academy (EFY) and Silang.id, based in Jakarta Selatan. This initiative marks a significant step forward in our mission to promote conscious communication and inclusivity.
Recently, Azzad from EFY traveled to Jakarta to conduct a transformative workshop on Conscious Communication. Among the enthusiastic participants were Yusuf and Hadi from Silang.id, who found the workshop profoundly impactful. Inspired by the potential benefits for the Deaf community, both organizations have decided to join forces.
The collaboration will begin with an incubation phase, where EFY and Silang.id will work together to adapt the workshop materials for the Deaf community. This collaborative effort is set to pave the way for an exciting year ahead in 2025.
The groundwork has already begun in December 2024, and by January, a series of sessions will be held to refine and pilot the workshop. Initially, the focus will be on delivering the workshop to Indonesians in the Deaf community, with plans to extend it to Malaysians soon after.
